On 14 May, for one night only, our milonga will be held at the 12th Caulfield Scout Hall – due to regular venue being used for election purposes –ย which is located at 1 Beavis Street Elsternwick.ย There is plenty of parking nearby (the hall is next door to Coles) and some interesting looking places to grab a coffee or a bite on nearby Glenhuntly Road. DJ Elena will be in charge of the playlist.
Come join us from 8pm until 11:30pm-ish.

Level 1 Fundamental Tango Classes are all about getting the fundamentals of tango, not as a style but as a language. In this tango class we look to give you the ability to dance without having to over think moves. We want you to feel free to feel the dance not to get stuck in steps.
Tango can be so much more than a series of steps. In the Level 1 fundamental classes we make it easy and fun to learn all that you will need to get out dancing on the social floor.
Tango Melbourne has worked to make a curriculum that has you learning deep technique without ever knowing it.
You will find yourself just enjoying and having fun. Come and start your journey into the life changing world of Tango!

Payment can be made after attending class so that you can choose the option that best suits you.
Class casual $25
Membership $33 pw. Gives you access to all live group classes, as well as online LIVESTREAM and recorded classes (there are over 150), free Practica entry, and 50% off on events. The Membership can be cancelled or put on hold at any time, you just need to give two weeks notice.
5 Class Pass $100 ($20 per class)
10ย Class Pass $180 ($18 per class)
Practica $5 casual (free for members and class attendees)
Milongas $20 casual, $10 for members and class attendees ($5 extra when there are live musicians)
The Layers of Tango is a 10-week course and ideal for people NEW to learning tango, and dancers returning to tango who are keen to refine and build on their technique.
The 5th and 10th week is a supervised Social Practica to practise what we have been learning and to start getting comfortable with the code of dancing in a milonga
Pre-requisites: No dance experience needed. Two left feet more than welcome!

Tango Club Melbourne was initially registered as a domain name in 2018 to provide a platform for publishing Melbourne Tango Calendar. The calendar was set up and maintained by Jerry Nairn, starting in 2013. Move to this site was accomplished, and the calendar has been successfully operating, on this website, since the beginning of 2019.
Late in June of 2019, it became apparent that a new collaboration was needed to run Melbourne Tango Weekendย (MTW), still at the same location, Collingwood Town Hall, and still at affordable pricing for all attending.
Our next step was registering Tango Club Melbourne as a not-for-profit incorporated group and so …….
