Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just curious about tango, MEJOR welcomes everyone to experience the magic of this passionate dance.
El Remolino’ Pop up milonga and special class
Join us on this late afternoon public holiday for what promises to be a memorable encounter.
On the ground floor of a bustling Fitzroy North street, we will dance and share our beautiful dance not only with each other but also with passers-by.
The afternoon begins with a class guided by Barry Arnold and Natasha Eracleous on aspects of a warm embrace and fundamental dance techniques embedded in something fun you can utilise on the social dance floor.
The wonderful DJ Dimitra will curate the milonga from 4-7 p.m. with her smooth tunes and attuned selections. Snacks will be provided to energise our afternoon!

TAKES2 Tango Thursdays
Learn to dance tango, meet new people, unwind, and exercise with other beginners in our friendly and inclusive weekly classes.
🕖Time: 6 pm to 7 pm Tango core – for absolute beginners to seasoned dancerstango core is where you’ll learn and master the fundamental techniques that make up tango. In our core-riculum we cover all the essentials to get you tangoing.
🕖 Time: 7 pm to 8 pm Tango More—Are you hungry for more? This one’s for you! Tango More is best paired with Tango Core. This session is for diving deeper into the possibilities of tango and getting you confident to go out dancing!
8 pm to 8:30 pm Tango Most (practice) – there is always room for dessert! Want to perfect the new thing you just learnt? need to test out a new idea you had? Just can’t get enough? our guided practice tango most is free for anyone that the new thing you just learned?
Discover the art and benefits of this popular and international dance style in a 1-hour lesson. No dancing shoes required, just wear comfortable clothes and non-gripping shoes. Plus, you don’t need a dancing partner – anyone can join, even solo dancers.
After the lesson, enjoy a mingle session for socializing and practicing your new skills. Tango is a fun way to connect, unwind, explore, and improve your mental and physical health.

Thursday pop up milonga w/Tango Rebels
This week, in lieu of our Saturday afternoon Practica, we will be having a casual pop-up milonga at our beautiful Kensington town hall Supper room.
This is the perfect opportunity to discover this beautiful, air-conditioned venue.
Pop into the neighbourhood after work and grab some dinner from one of the many restaurants nearby (Chef Lagenda is a personal favourite).

Tango with Bill & Leigh
Our classes are open-level and are taught by Bill Jarman and Leigh Rogan who are two of Melbourne’s most experienced and well-respected tango teachers.
The class cost is $25 per person per class. No partner is required.
Everyone is invited to come and share in the combined knowledge of two of Melbourne’s most well-known and experienced tango maestros, teaching together again!

This class is a welcoming space for those new to tango and tango dancers wanting to reinforce the basics. We work together to understand the structure of tango, increase body awareness, find greater fluidity, and enhance our understanding of connectedness.
Musicality is introduced as we work with the basic structure of tango.

Taking it to the Next Level
This level is suitable for dancers who understand the basic level criteria and the underlying structure of tango.
The focus is on finding a connection between the embrace and musicality. Challenging tango combinations are taught and discussed. This level allows you to deepen the expression of the dance, allowing your personal style to emerge through musicality and more complex movements.
Practica Tangueria 9.15pm-10pm
The practice is open to students from the 8.15 pm class and included in the fee.
It’s not just about practice, it’s also a social event. A chance to meet fellow tango enthusiasts, ask questions, and explore tango at your level. So, relax, socialize, and have fun while honing your skills.
Milonga etiquette and floor craft are discussed during classes.
