Mini Milonga with Tangology @ the Open Studio

Whether you want to listen or dance to tango music, please join Tangology for its final matinee show at the beautiful Open Studio. At a cosy venue, you’re welcome to sit/stand/ dance and enjoy our interpretation of trad tango while enjoying the company of your fellow friends, tangueros/ lovers of tango, not to mention the magnificent crepes and bar!

 

Tangology will play approximately two sets of music (about three tandas per 45-minute set) with a short break in between. This event runs for two hours, and all are welcome!

 

Tickets are strictly limited so please book early so you can enjoy our final performance!

About Tangology:

Amidst the traditional forms of tango featuring composers such as Gardel, Arolas, and di Sarli, Tangology, a trio of passionate dancers/musicians come together to weave their artistry through a set of their favourite tangos. A bittersweet afternoon of dancing, listening, and experiencing the joy of tango is all encouraged at our final ever matinee performance at the wonderful and iconic Open Studio. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Since 2012 Tango Melbourne has been running the
**Melbourne Cup Eve Popup!**
This might be the last ever milonga @ The EXFORD.
The Cup Eve Milonga is now a strong tradition for the Melbourne tango community!
MELBOURNE CUP EVE is Monday 4th November
Melbourne CUP PUBLIC HOLIDAY on the Tuesday, lets make the most of MELBOURNE CUP EVE and dance until we drop! Monday 6th November and dance until we drop!
This year the beautiful Renee will be spinning the tunes to keep you dancing all night (with a possible few cameos over the night) .
**Its all pretty simple**
MONDAY 4th NOV
9:00pm class finishes and the Milonga starts. We will go until we decide to stop. (last time it was 2am)

Then sleep in on the Tuesday public holiday!!!

$20 Entry
$10 if attending class

Boogie Fever Neolonga

Let your boogie fever loose at this fun and friendly neolonga, where you are free to play and experiment with your tango if you want, at Australia’s longest-running neo-tango regular event. To get in the theme, dress in 70s style, e.g., psychedelic, paisley, or floral patterns. If you don’t have any 70s-inspired clothes, come dressed in popular 70s colours—brown, green, and orange.

Milonga Sol y Silencio

Tango Touch and MUDC are excited to host Milonga Sol y Silencio, a milonga experience with a little twist.
At Milonga Sol y Silencio, we’re taking a unique approach. We’ll summon the Sirens of Silence, leaving verbal exchanges at the door. This will allow our eyes, movement, touch, tone, and presence to take the stage, creating a truly immersive experience.
Deepen your embodied connection, be inspired by the music curated by the wonderful TDJ Dimitra and share in the warmth of a collective heart space we create together. ❤️
Refreshments will be included to fuel the afternoon.
This event is part of the 2024 Melbourne Tango Circuit.
