Is Argentine Tango easy to learn? Yes it is. This dance is based on walking and then we add more components. You walk every day. You can learn tango .

** Who is this course aimed at? For complete beginners wanting to learn Argentine tango. Also suitable for those wanting to brush up on their basics.
The classes aim to be relaxed and fun whilst you are learning to be comfortable with your body and working with someone else’s body. It’s easier than you think – after all we move all the time. Learning the ABCs takes a few hours – it might take a wee while longer to learn the XYZs.!

** How long is this course? A 5 week x 1.5 hour course + 1.5 hr practica at the end of week 5.

** Whereabouts? East St Kilda, Melbourne (details below)
** What will you learn? At the end of this course you will, having started from scratch, built up an understanding of how to move with a partner, have learnt some linear and circular movements, understand the basics of tango music and have enough repertoire to dance socially.
** What’s the practica at the end of week 5?
A practica is a practice session whereby you get the chance to play with what you’ve learnt. You’ve got your training wheels and now you can get a chance to practice dancing in a more social environment. Students from my other classes will come along and join in.
** ? No longer a complete tango beginner you will then be ready to join my other classes and/or feel confident about heading off to dance socially in the myriad of events around Melbourne. The Melbourne Argentine tango scene is a vibrant dance scene and you can dance every night of the week somewhere in or around Melbourne.
